An exhibit that revisits the old game and proposes the youth’s twist on the versions of faces, images, and icons that appear on the existing cards. The essence of the game remains intact with rules unchanged. Mediums will include: silk-screening, photography, painting on found objects and sculpture. All work will be done by youth in the Creative Kids programs that include youth battling cancer from Providence Memorial Hospital and youth living in El Paso Public Housing. This includes youth battling mental health issues and disabilities from El Paso MHMR, at-risk youth living in Kennedy and Salazar Housing Projects as well as youth battling cancer at Providence Memorial Hospital. Nov. 16- Dec. 18, ‘Murders of 1940.’ The El Paso Playhouse presents ‘The Murders of 1940,’ a musical comedy by John Bishop, directed by Jan H. Wolfe. The 73rd annual “Christmas in Lights” continues the holiday tradition of the plaza’s spectacular Christmas tree and displays. Dec. 6, Handel’s ‘Messiah.’ The El Paso Choral Society and Juárez Symphony Orchestra present Handel’s masterpiece, conducted by Prentice Loftin. ‘The Messiah’ is one of the world’s great choral works, with the most famous chorus in all of music.
