The El Paso Museum of Art, in collaboration with the Museo de Arte del INBA en Ciudad Juárez, is exhibiting the works of French-born artist Eric Jervaise. The exhibition, titled The Frontiers of Vision: The Panoramic Photography of Eric Jervaise, examines daily life on the U.S./Mexico border. In January 1987, Rita Moreno performed at the Plaza Theatre and saved it from destruction. Twenty years later, history repeats. On Jan. 12, 2007, Rita Moreno will perform at the new Plaza Theatre Performing Arts Centre in honor of Brigadier General Ernst Roberts, Chairman of fundraising for the Plaza Theatre in 1987. Rita Moreno is the only performer to have won an Academy Award, an Emmy, a Tony and a Grammy. Her concerts sell out nationwide and earn rave reviews from the New York Times and the San Francisco Chronicle. Romulo maintains dual citizenship with Mexico and France. Vibrant and intense colors, biomorphic iconographic forms and a visual playfulness are recurring elements in his work.
